Our God is a God of order

As I walk through this journey this year on prayer, another leg I'm learning is that God is a God of order.

A week ago I started back into doing Word Studies.  I've enjoyed doing this over the years and  didn't realize until last week how long it had been due to schedules I've had over the last several months.

I was studying the word "Repentance", and similar words along that line.  The verse that has stood out to me since I started the study and I haven't been able to continue because I've been researching this verse, is Romans 11:29 "The gifts and calling of God are without repentance".

What I've learned from this verse is this:  What God gives us as gifts and the calling on our lives is at birth.  We can choose to use them for the Glory of God or not at the time we make a decision to follow Him or not.   We will be judged in how we used those gifts on the day of judgement.   That's the reference of the sheep and goats.   Those that used the gifts thinking it was for Him will be judged on that.

Saul, when God rejected him as king over Isreal, still prophecied over people and still had the gifts God gave him, he just didn't have God's anointing over him to do it.

As we grow in our relationship with Christ, we always need a fresh anointing on our lives because what we did before isn't relative to what Christ is showing us now.  Christ never changes, but we do as we go from glory to glory in His presensce and learn more of who He is.  What we knew 30+ years ago doesn't apply to who we are now, we are to go deeper in our relationship with Him.

God knew the day you were created what you were going to do with your life.  However, are you seeking the destiny He has chosen for you?  There is a difference.  Your destiny is in using the gifts and calling on your life for His Glory with His anointing.

Whether you use it for Him or not is your choice.  That's what free will is all about.   But doing it with His anointing makes your life so much freer then you could ever imagine.
